WHAT THE CRITICS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT BRUCE READING FLOOD TIDE Narrator Bruce Greenwood is a master of accents and provides a fine cadence to this tale. His understated style lends some credibility to the story - not an easy task.
Library Journal 11/1/97.... A grand suspense thriller that could only be written by the king of adventure, Clive Cussler. His new novel is brought to an phenomenal production narrated by the star of UPN's superb NOWHERE MAN series, Bruce Greenwood. Greenwood's perfo.ramance consists of a wide variation of vocal adjustments to give the reader the impression a certain character is speaking. I was surprised at how well he did this, due to his somewhat deep, gruff voice. Emotions are brought out extensively to fit the character's mood, with incredible ease. The abridgment is excellent, and I almost don't see why Cussler didn't write the novel the way it was perfo.ramed in the audio recording.
A job well done by Simon & Schuster.
Kevin Murphy, Kev's Audiobook Reviews, 1998Clive Cussler's Flood Tide (57719-0, $25.00) presents fictional hero Dirk Pitt, a figure in earlier titles, who tracks a smuggler from Washington to Louisiana. Actor Bruce Greenwood imparts high drama and action to this tense thriller.
