BRUCE GREENWOOD's (Nick Parsons) recent motion picture credits include his lead roles in the critically acclaimed "The Sweet Hereafter" (for which he received a Genie Award nomination) and "Exotica," both directed by Atom Egoyan. His other films include "Disturbing Behavior," "Wild Orchid," "Passenger 57" and "Fathers' Day." In addition, Greenwood's upcoming films include "Thick as Thieves," co-starring with Alec Baldwin; "The Lost Son," an independent British feature directed by Chris Menges; "Here on Earth," with Leelee Sobieski, Chris Klein and Josh Hartnett; and "13 Days," starring Kevin Costner and directed by Roger Donaldson. In 1995, Greenwood starred in a miniseries about Ashley Judd's famous country-music family, "Naomi & Wynonna: Love Can Build a Bridge." Other television credits include "The Larry Sanders Show," on which he appeared for three episodes; the title role in UPN's "Nowhere Man"; and "St. Elsewhere," on which he was a regular. Greenwood won a Gemini Award for his guest appearance on "Road to Avonlea" and has appeared in the television movies "The Companion" and "Beach Boys" in addition to over a dozen tele-films and miniseries. Greenwood recently wrapped the independent film "Cord" with Daryl Hannah, Jennifer Tilly and Vincent Gallo, as well as the Paramount feature "Rules of Engagement" with Tommy Lee Jones, Samuel L. Jackson and directed by William Friedkin and produced by Richard Zanuck. Born in Noranda, Quebec, Greenwood spent his early years growing up in Princeton, New Jersey; Washington, D.C.; and then Vancouver, British Columbia, where he moved when he was 11 years old.

Errors:

An impressively up-to-date and highly accurate biography. Only two minor quibbles:

  • The Beach Boys should be Summer Dreams: the Story of the Beach Boys.
  • Bruce was also nominated for a Genie for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Exotica. This isn't an error, but since they mention the nomination for The Sweet Hereafter why not mention it for Exotica, too?
