BRUCE GREENWOOD |
Bruce Greenwood plays Thomas Veil, a documentary photographer who, in one terrifying evening, seemingly has his identity eradicated in "Nowhere Man," Touchstone Television's haunting new one-hour drama.
Says Greenwood of the show, "There are many things I love to do. I love to compose, write lyrics, sing, play my guitar. I love, on occasion, to perform in a club. But right now, my burning passion is doing this show. Of all the pilots I've done, and I've been fortunate in having gotten to do a number of them, I'm more excited about "Nowhere Man' than I've ever been."
Greenwood first attracted attention as the manipulative Dr. Seth Griffin on the highly regarded television series "St. Elsewhere." Since then, he has built a solid reputation as a skillful actor in an extensive range of roles on both television and the big screen.
His many television credits include the recent miniseries "Naomi and Wynonna: Love Can Build a Bridge," "The Companion" with Kathryn Harrold and "Bitter Vengeance" with Virginia Madsen, the latter two airing on the USA Network.
Last season Greenwood starred in the feature film "Exotica," which made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival, winning the International Critics' Prize. He was also seen in such diverse films as Zalman Kings' sensuous "Wild Orchid," and the action-thriller "Passenger 57." Born on August 12 in Quebec, Canada, Greenwood attended the University of British Columbia and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. An expert skier, Greenwood also enjoys sailing and skydiving. When not acting or spending time outdoors, he runs a small recording studio where he produces radio plays and audio files for CD-ROM programs as well as writing and recording music. Says he, "As long as I have a job or a guitar, I'm happy."
