THIRTEEN DAYS INTERVIEW

December 2000

Bruce's Comments

hollywood.com: What do you consider to be [Kennedy's] greatest strength?
Bruce: I think his greatest strength was revealed in this movie -- and that was the ability - the courage - not to fight. With the almost unbelievable pressure he was receiving and the compelling arguments to pull the trigger - and he held on.

I think that what's also great -- especially for younger viewers - you don't have to know the story. All they have to know is that it's a political thriller. It's going to have them hanging on the edge of their seat. And at the end of the day when they realize it's the truth, it's gonna make their jaw drop that much further.

Roger Donalson's comment:

hollywood.com: When you met Steven Culp and Bruce Greenwood -- did you see right away that they would be the Kennedys?
Donaldson: Putting the Kennedys on screen, I knew was gonna be a tough call, and I wanted to have actors I really really believed in. That's where I finally found myself with both Steven and Bruce. I just had total confidence that they could do it.
