Bruce Greenwood made a quick trip to Toronto in early February to do several interviews to promote his romantic comedy, The Republic of Love. This short interview - along with clips from the movie - appeared on the local edition of CTV News. Ann Brody asks the questions:

he's one of those guys that wears his heart on his sleeveBG: You know, he is one of those guys that wears his heart on his sleeve and that's why it kind of appealed to me in the first place. Cause I'm, you know, I'm a bit of a romantic and so sort of identified with playing nefarious characters with hidden agendas. So I wanted to do something that was just a little, you know, a guy that wakes up in the morning kinda OK and gets happy cause the coffee is hot, you know. Almost anything can make him feel good but the one thing he hasn't got is someone to share it with.I wanted to do a guy who wakes up happy

AB: So, what can we expect in the next few months then?

BG: Ah, let's see, a thing on CTV called The Life which is a story about those cops in Vancouver who shot a documentary called Through a Blue Lens, then I,Robot, with Wil Smith and Being Julia with Annette Benning and then a thing called Racing Stripes that I just came back from Africa doing and that will be out this time next year from Warner Bros.
