MOVIE-TELEVISION

Canada's Star-TV presented a behind-the-scenes look at Atom Egoyan's Ararat on their Movie-Television show that included interviews with Egoyan, Arsinée Khanjian, David Alpay, Eric Bogosian and Bruce Greenwood. Rehearsals of a scene between Greenwood's Marty and Bogosian's director were spliced in between the interviews with the two actors:
Marty: I've read the book! I've read the book...as well as every available piece of archival material that so much as hints at these people and the Armenian genocide....
Greenwood: What's interesting to me is that, inevitably, in his films, characters that you would think have no common trajectory -- you can't imagine their lives ever intersecting -- they not only intersect but effect one another and finally...those straight lines begin to waiver and they begin to boil...and all these characters create this whole....that you don't often see in scripts.
