THE MAKING OF DOUBLE JEOPARDY

Bruce Greenwood interview

September, 1999

A 15-minute promo for Paramount's 1999 big-scale release, Double Jeopardy, Showtime ran this Behind-the-Scenes special just before the film's wide release on September 24th. Interviews were conducted with all the major players with the emphasis on Tommy Lee Jones, Ashley Judd and Director Bruce Beresford. Bruce Greenwood is interviewed thrice -- albeit briefly -- but still has a chance to display his joy of life and every-present humor as he describes the pleasures of filming in party-happy New Orleans. He was extremely prominent in all the film clips, as well.

What Bruce Says in the Interviews:

The character that I play, Nick Parsons, is Ashley Judd's husband...and he's particularly driven -- an ambitious guy and reasonably wealthy -- [he] has a HUGE house on the water with numerous water craft....

(using broad Southern accent) New Orleans, baby....New Orleans, it's all right....[drops accent] It's beautiful here. The energy here is just legendary, of course, and ....every time you walk outside...[it's] stuff happening, crazy people walking around, everybody [mimes drinking with his hand] having a good time, partying....

When you think you've figured it out, you ain't!
