Historic Oval Office Chair
Plays Role in Making of Motion Picture

ITHACA, N.Y., Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- In the world of Hollywood make-believe, some reality still exists. On December 20, New Line Cinema will release a major motion picture titled "Thirteen Days,'' with a story based upon the 13 days in 1962 that comprised what we now call the Cuban Missile Crisis. Scenes set in Cuba were actually shot in the Philippines, and scenes that take place in the White House were re-created in a Los Angeles studio. But when producers purchased the Oval Office Chair for actor Bruce Greenwood (who plays President John F. Kennedy), they captured an authentic detail of history. The black leather chair movie-goers will see on-screen was manufactured by the same factory that supplied JFK his original chair.
