Digger is accused of killing poultry and Alec ties him up in the barn
After spending the night with Caleb in the barn, Digger runs away
On a drive into town Alec asks Caleb to stay and permanently work on the farm
Caleb delightedly accepts Alec's offer, but in town two strangers accost him
Caleb is attacked by the two strangers, and Alec comes to his aid
A phone call reveals that Caleb was a swindler and spent 5 years in jail
On the way home Caleb tells Alec his story
Caleb tells Alec he sold the farm and paid as many people back as he could
The King children ask Caleb about his past life and why he did it
Caleb offers no excuses but tells them he'll help them find Digger
Caleb sets a trap and captures the raccoon who's been killing the hens
Caleb brings Digger home and the Kings ask him to stay
Caleb tells the Kings they'd always be in danger from his enemies
Bidding the Kings and their farm farewell, Caleb sets off for a future life in The States
