New Lantos film's trailer to accompany screenings of Spielberg's Terminal

TORONTO (CP) - Famous Players screenings of the new Steven Spielberg film The Terminal are being accompanied by a trailer for Robert Lantos's new feature, Being Julia.

"We are pleased to continue our support of Canadian filmmakers, like Robert Lantos, by offering our guests the opportunity to preview what is sure to be a great movie," says Michael Kennedy, executive vice-president for Famous Players. Annette Bening and Jeremy Irons star in Being Julia, filmed in London and Budapest and based on the Somerset Maugham novel Theatre. Its story of a celebrated actress who has an affair with her son's best friend is described as "a delicious tale of amorous folly and revenge" set in the world of the London stage during the 1930s.

The cast also includes Canadian actors Bruce Greenwood, Sheila McCarthy and Maury Chaykin.

Lantos is producing and the director is Hungarian-born Istvan Szabo. The two worked together previously on Sunshine.

Theatrical release is set for Oct. 15.
