Bruce Greenwood as Jack McCready

Set in New Orleans, this major motion picture for Dreamworks centers on a modern day F.B.I. agent who travels back in time to prevent the murder of a young woman with whom he's become obsessed. The movie stars Bruce's old St. Elsewhere co-star Denzel Washington with Jim Caviezel and Val Kilmer in co-starring roles and Paula Patton as the murdered woman from a past time.

Directed by Tony Scott, the film was set to shoot in New Orleans just before Katrina altered all plans. After a year of consideration Scott ultimately decided to proceed with original plans, and filming began on February 7, 2006. The movie opened over the long Thanksgiving weekend on November 22, 2006.

Bruce plays F.B.I. administrator Jack McCready in the movie and his character is set in the present day, offering impediments to the Denzel Washington character.
