Reprising his role as network bigwig Roger Bingham, Bruce Greenwood opened the 1998 season -- minus Alex but still determined to undermine Larry's autonomy. Quietly but absolutely in charge of Larry's whole future, he conveys with frighteningly real nonchalance just how disinterested he is in its outcome, undercutting Sanders' confidence with suggestions from a toady and the subtlest of off-handed body movements.

A flurry of publicity surrounded Garry Shandling's decision to discontinue the show after this season, and Roger Bingham seems to be setting the tone for the final year.
