Although Naomi & Wynonna: Love Can Build a Bridge lost the ratings race to Stephen King's The Langoliers it still had formidable ratings, part 1 coming in 6th for the week (16.5/26) and part 2 (Bruce's part) coming in 5th (17.6/27). A few reports follow:


NBC Sweeps Toward Crown

NBC has survived the scare of ABC's "The Langoliers," maintaining a solid May sweeps lead and claiming a fourth-straight weeklong primetime Nielsen victory...The Peacock won the May 8-14 week by countering "Langoliers" with the "Naomi & Wynonna" two-parter...."Lanoliers" has definitely tightened the race...."Naomi & Wynonna" stood its ground, though, averaging a two-night 17.1/27. That ranks it fourth among the 14 network two-parters aired since last September (none of them against tougher competition).

Monday
Monday of this week belonged to ABC's "The Langoliers, Part 2" (20.4/31), though NBC's "Naomi & Wynonna, Part 2" (17.6/27) was a strong second, singing NBC's most melodic Monday-pic rating since "Someone She Knows" last October.
