An unusual little project, this NBC special grouped two half-hour crime dramas together as filler during the November sweeps. Based on true stories of criminal genius, Bruce Greenwood plays Faulkner opposite Lisa Hartman in "a tale of sex, violence and retribution," according to TV Guide. In one report, she plays a doctor who falls under his spell, then agrees to seduce and kill a stranger for him. In another, Hartman plays a doctor who connives with her partner (Greenwood) to fake her murder for insurance money. Lukewarm reviews and the unusual time span doesn't promise a likely return, but with cable there's always hope. It was filmed before Bruce Greenwood's Knots Landing season and aired shortly after his stint began. TV Guide has it listed for November 11, 1991 though one source indicates December 11, 1991.
