This small-screen adaptation of Joy Fielding's popular thriller just misses being a mixed bag of tricks. The stock characters are fortunately outsmarted by some fine performances and a storyline that makes a smart turn just when it begins to look familiar.....As Jess' dad, Max Gail is in good form, as is Bruce Greenwood as the ex-husband.
