Rourke's next strategem is to arrange for Otis to have anonymous sex with a handsome fellow attorney played by Bruce Greenwood. Fine, but then the voyeur turns into a spoilsport.

The movie undercuts Mr. Rourke's already pathetic position by showcasing another romantic interlude: Bruce Greenwood is wittily insinuating and forceful as a U.S. businessman who evidently becomes Emily's first lover while poor Wheeler hovers around feeling voyeuristically sorry for himself...........The movie's best erotic bet is the sequence that brings Miss Otis and Mr. Greenwood into sultry proximity. They look handsome together, and it's kind of satisfying to imagine there might be a man on the scene wth the ability to fulfill a lustful impulse.
