The Magnificent Amberson cover

A major motion picture for A&E, this important re-make of the Booth Tarkington novel was based on the Orson Welles classic and included those parts of the script as originally envisioned by Welles. Bruce Greenwood plays Eugene Morgan, Isabel Amberson's true love, in a story about the downfall of a family that's unable to move forward with the times.

THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS was aired over the A&E network on January 13, 2002 with the video and DVD almost immediately available to the public with prices that hover just under $25. It's readily available at all major outlets as well as at the A&E Website Store. The DVD includes a featurette that appeared earlier on A&E along with biographies/filmographies of the actors.
