Bruce Greenwood's first really important role was playing Dr. Seth Griffin on this award winning television series. Although the show ran from 1982 - 1988, Greenwood was only with the show for the last two seasons. A commercial video has long been available called "The Best of St. Elsewhere" and it features seven episodes that span the entire run of this wonderfully well written and well acted series. Two of the seven episodes selected for the video did originally broadcast during Bruce's two seasons, but he only appears in one of those -- the very last episode of both the series and this video set, called appropriately enough, "The Last One." While not a very accurate look at loveable scoundral Seth, it is a chance to see how Bruce appeared on the show, and the set itself effectively captures the quirky charm of the series. |
